It wasn’t even that big either, just M1.7 on the solar eruption scale, which is pretty low power compared to some of the recent solar activity we’ve witnessed. It wasn’t pointed at Earth at the time either, so all we’ve got here is an outstanding example of why being able to fly about in space like Star Trek would be just so damn cool. [iO9]
