The FPS Russia people made this video showing a “prototype” quadrotor equipped with a machine gun. Yes, a remote controlled flying machine gun. They take it for a spin and shoot some targets, as they usually do.
In reality, this weaponised-quadrotor or quadrotorised-weapon is just a fun 3D animation, lifting the concept from Metal Gear Solid. But you can bet the US military is working in stuff like this right now. It’s only a matter of time before the weight/power ratio is good enough to make it happen. The Army and the Marines would love this thing.
The recoil would demolish the thing.

Not really, recoil from a 5.56 round isn’t that much. As long as the device has a good gyro, and can react quick enough it’ll be fine.
I am having serious trouble believing this is not CGI. Especially the end.
I love the FPS russia videos. I always wonder though where he is actually doing all of this (clearly he isn’t really Russian or in Russia so how does he get clearance to all this high calibre stuff in the states).
