Sports equipment maker Easton strapped hundreds of GoPro cameras to athletes and their gear for this awesome short film titled Inside Out. Sure, it’s really just a commercial for the company’s equipment, but it worked on us.
The video gives a unique first-person view of team sports that’s about a hundred times more compelling than standard TV sports coverage. And since GoPro was showing off an upcoming wireless livestreaming accessory at CES, we think every athlete should hit the field or rink wearing a tiny camera. It would certainly make for one hell of a highlight reel every night. [YouTube via Notcot]

The Future of Watching Sports: A View Inside A Pro Athlete's Body
Interestingly a member over on http://www.actioncamtalk.com brought this concept up recently. I’m not convinced how watchable it would be but certainly a nice addition to the usual camera angles and could really increase the interactive options.
They should do this for all sports
I like how they keep adding more and more stats to games – like how far a footballer has run during a game (although, I only notice that if they get subbed)
Adding a view of what the guy was seeing as he booted the ball in to the net…or catching the ball and then sliding down to score the try…would add amazing elements to sports
or taking a dive.. we should strap them to footballers legs pointing down so we can watch as they fall over without being touched
Good call! That, along with HawkEye, would be pretty sweet
