Nokia's bonkers 41-Megapixel 808 phone has been priced up, with SIM-free retailers telling us it'll come with a £538 price tag attached to it. You could get a proper phone for that. Or three of them.

While the Symbian-powered model was always going to come in at a premium because of its high-end camera sensor technology, asking top-whack for a Symbian model in this day and age is surely high street suicide for Nokia. Nokia is standing outside a branch of Phones4U with a shotgun in its mouth. It won't end well.

At least, once the Symbian nightmare is out of the way, Nokia should start putting the sensor into its Windows Phone range. Which may make it a little more appealing. Just a little. [Clove via Slashgear]
