17-Year-Old Geordie Boy Arrested as Possible TeamPoison Hacker

Northumbria Police under guidance from the UK's Police Central eCrime Unit have arrested a teenager in Newcastle, accusing the youth of being part of one of the internet's notorious hacking collectives known as TeamPoison.

You may remember the TeamPoison name from such popular UK hacks as the recording of police phone conversations (for which two suspects have already been nicked) and the leaking of UN data, although authorities have not specified any particular offence in relation to this arrest.

The teenager, who allegedly operated under the user name MLT, has had his computers seized for examination. And they say the kids of the UK are lacking in tech and computer skills. [BBC]
