The Android phone with the Intel Inside that was previously known as the Santa Clara has been re-announced by Orange, which will be selling the thing under the new name of the Orange San Diego. And it'll cost you £199 to see if Intel's mobile processor is any good.
The San Diego features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, which has been paired here with a 4" display and Android 2.3. Inside there's 16GB of mounted storage, an 8-Megapixel camera with burst mode capture capabilities and 1080p video recording, plus HDMI output and a bucketload of Orange brand apps for its various services.
As well as the £199 PAYG price, Orange will make the San Diego available on contracts, which will start at £15.50 for a pretty useless deal with only 50 minutes, if that's how you want it. [Orange]
