While many previously thought that the latest Samsung flagship phone was to be sporting a plain plastic body, the lusty Galaxy S III is in fact, a polycarbonate dream machine.
Confirming to PhoneArena, Samsung has stated that: "Polycarbonate is lightweight, solid and is already being widely used in the mobile industry.
"It was chosen as the best material to represent the minimal organic design of Galaxy S3. Using three layers of high quality, pure and clear polycarbonate, not only is the phone's aesthetic elevated, but the durability and scratch resistance is maximized."
Hopefully that means that the new model will be a lot more resilient and tougher than the previous iteration keeping its good looks for longer against the scourge of scratches. [PhoneArena via TechRadar]
