What’s the best smartphone ever? That’s a difficult question; there are quite a few pretty decent phones around at the moment. You’ve got the HTC One series; Samsung’s new incoming Galaxy S III; LG’s Optimus 4XHD; not to mention the iPhone 4S. But according to Siri, none of the others make the grade — it’s all about Nokia’s Lumia 900.
Good old Siri, being as analytical as ever thanks to a bit of Wolfram Alpha. I’m sure Cook and co would be so proud. [Cult of Mac]

I’m very suprised Apple didn’t have a stock response of “the one you’re holding”.
Well Siri does have some extra modes that have only recently become unlocked:

Wow, this actually works! I just managed to replicate it now.
If you alter the wording even slightly though, Siri doesn’t query Wolfram Alpha and instead gives you one of a few different stock answers.
I love the Lumia series, but the fact the Wolfram Alpha ranks a Refurbished HP WiFi Touchpad as the 3rd best smartphone doesn’t inspire any confidence in this statement.
That said… I won’t be surprised if it’s fixed in the next update of iOS.
A software update is not even needed, Apple can change anything siri does or say at any time they like because Siri functions through apples servers
Fair enough! I thought that was the case for some of it’s queries – not the built in ones. I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong with that.
