Sony has another 4.3" Android model on the scene, just in case you took a dislike to its Xperia S design, with the Acro S set to arrive in certain parts of the world later this summer. Meanwhile its rugged little brother, the Xperia Go, wants to be your new water resistant pal.
The Acro S follows along the same lines of the Acro HD, a phone which was launched in Japan back in March. It's pretty high spec, offering a 4.3" display running at 720p resolution, 12-Megapixel camera, 1080p video capture, 1.5GHz dual-core chipset, IP55 and IP57 rating compliance for water and dust resistance, plus, well, it looks very slim and sexy. There's no word whether we'll see it on our shores to rub shoulders along side the Xperia S.
Sony also announced the Xperia Go today, which is a smaller, chunkier, 3.5" model. You get a 5-Megapixel camera in the little chap, plus the Go is also water and dust proof and will arrive sometime later in the summer in the UK running Android 2.3, with Sony promising an update to 4.0 shortly after.
Both phones feature the same "wet finger tracking" technology Sony first introduced in last year's Xperia Active, letting you operate the display while it and/or you are dripping wet. [Sony]
