We’ve waited long enough, but now Spotify’s iPad app, which we caught a glimpse of last month, is finally available in the App Store and it’s a looker. Brimming with Twitter app-esque sliding panes just like its Android cousin, this might just be the best way to use Spotify yet.
The app bundles in all the features you've come to expect from the other Spotify apps including access to your inbox and Spotify's 18 million song catalogue, but rams in some full-screen high resolution cover art for good measure. The app is Retina-enabled too, so it’ll look super crisp on the new iPad’s Retina display, while you can stream your tunes to your TV or stereo via AirPlay.
Gapless playback and crossfade mean your music should never be interrupted – unless your internet connection conks out I guess. The free app should be available any time now from the App Store, while those hankering to try it out for free can grab a 30-day Spotify Premium trail to give it a whirl, or watch Labrinth walk through the app below. Or check out TechRadar's review of it here.
