Apple Stores in the UK Are Incredibly Dumb

By Jamie Condliffe on at

Apple is a pretty slick operation, though when they encounter any problems, the whole world revels in them. Following the launch of the new Retina MacBook Pros, the UK's flagship Apple Store managed to sell eight of the new laptops that were only ever intended to be used for display purposes.

According to New Statesman, Apple's flagship UK store on Regent Street in London was perplexed when it only received eight of the new Retina MacBook Pros. It proceeded to sell them all to members of the public, who greedily snapped them up. Only later did the store realise that the laptops had been sent over from the US purely to be used as display models. Oops. [New Statesman]
