Even the Humble Hard Drive Looks Amazing In Slow Motion

Everything is going SSD these days for fast boot times and all, but hard drives are a marvel of engineering in their own right. Have you ever ripped the top of a drive just to see it work? Blink and you miss it, unless it's in awesome slow motion, of course.

One day hard drives will be a distant, extinct memory as flash takes over -- that's progress. It's easy to overlook just how big a technical marvel they are though. Anything that is able to physically move back and forth 22 times in just 0.25 seconds is an incredible piece of machinery. [YouTube via The Next Web]
