Google's Jelly Bean Ready for Download Right Now

By Gary Cutlack on at

Right after announcing its latest version of Android at its developer conference last night, Google has now dumped a version of the OS online for a select few users to download and install. But it's for Galaxy Nexus owners only at the moment.

The 156MB download is hosted on Google's server here, with the modders over at the XDA Forums having already compiled a root-friendly version for those of you who enjoy spending evenings in front of alternate boot screens. If you have a GSM model of Galaxy Nexus, this ought to update you to the very, very latest in Android.

And if you don't, the tools are out there for the modders to supply you with Android 4.1 much quicker than your network will manage. [XDA via Android Police]
