If you had a Nokia phone long, long ago—and if you were alive then, you probably did—the best time murdering/happy fun time you could do with it was to play Snake. Those buttons were a joy to push!
But even in the crowded sea of smartphone games now, nothing is quite as addictive as Snake was. Love the idea, but without touchscreen controls it’s not the same. Same goes for Tetris et al.
And those old Nokias had great clicky-but-not-cheap-feeling buttons. Noone makes great buttons anymore
been out on iOS for a while aswell – no where near as good as classic snake on the old nokias, them phones where awsome. lasted for days on end, built like a brick. loud ringing, powerful vibration, good quality buttons.
Snake on a touchscreen doesnt feel right without the crisp, clicky nokia buttons, and it’d take an incredibly responsive on-screen keyboard and a complete lack of sausage fingers to compete
