If you haven't already committed yourself to 24 months of proud ownership of the HTC One X or Samsung's Galaxy S III, there's another high-end Android option to consider from LG. Its 4.7" Optimus 4X HD is about to launch in Europe.
The Germans get it first, with LG putting the first batch of its quad-core, Android 4.0-powered phone on sale over there, with other parts of the EU, including the UK, set to see it shortly after.
Sadly for LG, none of the major networks seem to be stocking the phone here, so it's unlikely to do much damage to the established Samsung/HTC duopoly that currently rules the Android world, despite the 4X HD packing in a rather impressive 720p IPS display that manages a 313ppi pixel density on its huge 4.7" screen.
Is LG's in-house Optimus UI 3.0, which adds such delightful features as visual, on-screen memo drawing, enough to finally win LG some fans in today's smartphone world? [LG]
