Lumias Get Screwed By Windows Phone 8 But Lumia 900 Will Get 7.8 Within Weeks

By Gary Cutlack on at

The first chance to see some Windows Phone 8 features may come to those who've bought Nokia's Lumia 900, with the high-end WP model set to get its update to the stop-gap 7.8 version of the software within weeks.

The news comes through whoever has the keys to Nokia's US Twitter channel, which said, in response to a question about the arrival of the 7.8 software for the Lumia 900, that it would be "rolling out within the coming weeks."

There's some worry that this too-good-to-be-true timeline might be a little error or exaggeration on the part of the Nokia social team in question, but you never know. Nokia's due to release something on time. [WM Power User via Pocketnow]
