Sure the new MacBook Air is a fraternal twin of the last few versions, but it’s got some nice new guts that are showing up in Apple products for the first time, like the MagSafe 2. As usual, iFixit’s ripping the new machine to shreds.
They’re not quite done with the teardown yet, but so far they’ve pulled out a slightly altered SSD, the smaller I/O card (due to MagSafe 2), and the MBA’s sad old fan—not the new MBP’s multi-frequency stuff.
