The unlimited mobile data wars are starting to hot up. First we had Three's "One Plan", then T-mobile's "Full Monty", and now Virgin's stepped into the ring too with a £25-a-month all-you-can-eat "Premiere" tariff.
Like everything Virgin, it's cheaper if you're actually with Virgin already. The SIM-only Premiere plan is just £20 a month if you're a Virgin Media customer, or £25 if you're not. With a phone it'll set you back £21 a month for 24 months, or £26 a month if you're sans-Virgin cable. Unfortunately the phone selection is a bit dire on the cheapest band right now -- just the BlackBerry Curve and Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus -- but the SIM-only deal looks pretty good.
Virgin runs on Everything Everywhere, so you should get decent signal and speed at least. No word on whether tethering is allowed, but you will get Virgin's new tube Wi-Fi network thrown in for good measure.
