Once iOS 6 was jailbroken it was just a matter of time before hackers managed to gift the older iPhones things that Apple is holding back. First up is Flyover and turn-by-turn directions on the iPhone 4 — Apple be damned.
It’s a bit of a messy process to get it all working at the moment, but I’m sure it’ll just be a one-tap operation by the time a full consumer-worthy jailbreak is out and ready for download. It all seems to work just fine on the iPhone 4 too, showing that it really is just Apple holding stuff back rather than the iPhone 4 being totally incapable of handling the new features. Manufacturers holding back updates their devices are quite capable of running, well I never. I hear bears have also been known to shit in the woods.
Please note I said manufacturers, this is not an Apple specific issue.

you really should see the doctor about that (that is a medical doctor, not the Gizmodean of that name, who I’m not sure is a real doctor) boiling blood is very bad for you. I am fully aware that other animals (including humans) can shit in the woods, I happen to like bears, but it’s more of a preference then an absolute mania. I really do wish people would stop calling me an ursine fanboy.

Apple updates their devices but sadly the older ones don’t always get all the same features.
