If you’ve never used Swiftkey, you should give it a try: it’s a smart keyboard which uses some crazy intelligent algorithms not just to predict what word you’re typing, but what word you’re going to type next. It’s spooky. Just don’t, whatever you do, lend your phone to a friend.
Because SwiftKey learns from what you’ve typed in the past, in messages, Facebook, Twitter — everything. That means it’s been reading your confessions, tracking your romantic encounters and learning what gets you off. So when a friend starts typing something on your phone, well… they might be in for a surprise. [xkcd]

Just tried this. I got “I am a beautiful person” . There is no way I could have ever written that as a sentence, as anyone who has met me will attest.
Mine says “I am really pleased with the latest version of the day”!
and are you?
I would say I’m more mildly agreeable but at least my phone is enjoying itself.
That’s the default built-in message – I’m not sure what you have to do to make it change, as I get that too, and I’ve been using SwiftKey for years.
perhaps you have to send a lot of messages that start “I am” and another different word, so it “learns” and adapts.
I got “I am enjoying the view of the most monstrous curry every conceived.” Amazing.
I think that must say something deep about you. I am trying to start all my sentences with I so that I train it to say something different.
Most every version of Swiftkey says that, there’s a thread on their forum by the developers saying that they hope everyone’s self esteem increases upon reading that
. I do like considerate developers. Personally, I use Swype.
Whatever works for you, that’s what freedom of choice is all about. I have to do a reverse bungee but not so keen on the ropes. Sorry I was trying the space bar thing on the second sentence to see if it was different, which it was.
I swear I had this feature on my old phone ten years ago…
I think you meant the above post was meant for one of the iOS6 threads…

No, no. I just checked. My old Sony Ericsson Cybershot had this feature.
But the point is SwiftKey is actually half decent.
Yeah I’ve been using this for the last 4/5 months. I do like it, however yeah – be careful with those predictions! Especially for smiley faces and ‘xx’ at the end of texts..
I just discovered that to get it to really do this instead of saying “I am a beautiful person” you have to type a random letter and then mash space, however it just gives you parts of sentences you’ve typed mashed together. Still, it’s interesting to read and try and remember the context of the sentence fragments.
