Brooker's Back With More (Presumably) Abuse

By Chris Mills on at

Charlie Brooker's first season of Black Mirror received complaints and praise in equal measure for its, err, provocative content. Now, Channel 4 wants more. (Praise, that is, not complaints.)

Black Mirror is what Brooker calls a "rare modern look at where society and individuals could be headed, given the all-pervasive deluge of social media and technology". From what I can see, it's a bleak, apolcalypic view of where technology's taking us, which is a little bit grim. Still, it's nice to see dark drama that isn't ripped off the Scandinavians hitting our box, and for all the complaints, Black Mirror still shines for not pulling any punches about Brooker's view of the future. Now, if we could just get YouView prices down so I could afford to stream it to the telly box. [Channel 4 via Chortle]
