Hooray! No longer will you be constantly bugged for your password every time you try to download a free app or an update on you iPhone or iPad. iOS 6 will bring with it password-free downloads, for all your freemium game-downloading pleasure.
You'll still have to enter your password to grab a new paid app of course, which is definitely a good thing if your phone gets stolen, or commandeered by kids. You don't want £5,000-worth of in-app purchases for some poxy freemium game to suddenly land on your bill, right?
I have to say, this is going to make quite a big difference to my iPhone-using life. I'm constantly torn between trying to secure my iTunes account properly, which has my credit card attached, and easy entry of my iTunes credentials into the iPhone every time I want to download an app. There's only so many times I'm going to enter, and get wrong, my 20-character password before I give up, or worse, hurl the phone through the nearest window.
