For once, here’s a story about a CEO that doesn’t involve some form of treachery, debauchery, tax evasion or even money laundering. In fact, it’s nice. Real nice. And it will make you infinitely regretful that you don’t work for Lenovo too.
Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing bagged a $3M (£1.9M) bonus after Lenovo posted its best fiscal year, but he didn’t keep it for himself to spend on some lavish yacht or supercar – nope — he distributed it amongst 10,000 junior employees. That works out at around $314 (around £200) for each worker, which probably lit up their eyes when they received the check. And that’s pretty damn great, as that equates to about a month’s wages for each worker.
Perhaps there is a bit of humanity in the world after all. [Geekosystem via Geeky-Gadgets]
