BAE Systems, our defence contractor responsible for all sorts of awesome weaponry and the odd drone, is helping the British modern pentathletes using military-based equipment to hone their fancy new laser pistols. You've got to make sure you're blasting straight if you're going to win, right?
Having been introduced just last year, the laser pistols have taken over from air pistols in the pentathlon. To make sure the blaster is functioning correctly, BAE created a portable testing rig that athletes can carry with them. Simply shove your gun in the slot and pull the trigger. The ULTeMo box will then tell you if your laser is set to kill firing at full power, so if you're slow or miss, it's your fault, not your new-fangled raygun's.
