Google’s Glasses were a little bit of a let down for those of us who wanted a true head-up display. This video, however, depicts a fictional future where the head-up display powers all our digital lives—and it’s equal parts awesome and terrifying.
Called Sight, this short was put together by Eran May-raz and Daniel Lazo, as a graduation project at Bezaleal academy of arts. It shows off a world where the only display required is embedded in a contact lens—which makes an empty room a playground and every activity a game.
It’s a thought-provoking little video and, given the way things turn out, maybe we should be thankful that Google Glasses don’t offer true HUD just yet. [Vimeo]

At least my wife would be happy that the house would be tidy.
Not bad at all, I like that
Err, how is an unreleased product a “let down” compared to a completely fictional one. Did you think the latest macbooks were a let down compared to the computers in minority report?
This may well be what Google Glass or some other similar product will evolve into, but the technology is not there yet.
I haven’t watched the video, probably won’t either tbh. Still, i’m continually befuddled about the amount of ripping google glass gets when the damn thing is nothing more than a prototype at present.
Maybe the article should be “This is what Google Glass COULD be”
“This Is What Google Glasses Could Have Been”
Rohypnol?
Quite cool. Life lesson i’m already keenly aware of, don’t display trophies unless they’re something you’d let your mother see
No. Just. No! How can you compare a product that is completely fictional and purely Unicorn jizz, to something that is a working prototype.
Its like me going to your mum, showing her a video of a 6foot4,bio engineered, blonde, highly muscular super athlete, with perfectly chiseled features and non sensationalist writing skills. And said to her… “This is what Jamie could have been”
Im not being mean. But, you could have said something along the lines of … In the future… Google glasses could be…
This is what Google Glasses could have been? A rape device? There are some weird writers at Gizmodo.
Well produced video if kind of creepy.
Great short film, really well shot and put together.. not sure i would take implants for my eyes thou, i think glasses or contacts would be enough..
You should watch “Black Mirror: The Entire History of You” will put you off google glasses forever http://www.channel4.com/programmes/black-mirror/4od#3327868
I have and it didn’t.
Me neither, in fact it made me want a grain!
It’s realistically missing the 40 million popup ads offering cheap medicine and in-app purchases
Google Glass: the digital Date Rape Drug.
