This Real Life 18m-High Hot Wheels Loop-De-Loop Stunt Is Just Plain Insane

By Sam Gibbs on at

We saw the UK Top Gear boys take on a "deadly 720", but this X-Games dual-car real-life replica of a gravity and insanity-defying Hot Wheels stunt just takes the biscuit.

There was so much that could have gone wrong -- not enough speed so you drop straight off the top of the 18m-high loop; too much speed so you'll bounce out of the loop; a car collision mid trick, and then there's the no small feat of jumping the gap off a ramp. It's a miracle they survived -- actually, scrub that -- it's thanks to some serious maths and science they survived, but you still wouldn't catch me doing it.

For those in the know, one of the drivers was Tanner Foust from Top Gear USA -- I'd like to see Captain Slow, Clarko or Hamster try that. [Jalopnik via Gizmodo Australia]
