We saw the UK Top Gear boys take on a “deadly 720“, but this X-Games dual-car real-life replica of a gravity and insanity-defying Hot Wheels stunt just takes the biscuit.
There was so much that could have gone wrong — not enough speed so you drop straight off the top of the 18m-high loop; too much speed so you’ll bounce out of the loop; a car collision mid trick, and then there’s the no small feat of jumping the gap off a ramp. It’s a miracle they survived — actually, scrub that — it’s thanks to some serious maths and science they survived, but you still wouldn’t catch me doing it.
For those in the know, one of the drivers was Tanner Foust from Top Gear USA — I’d like to see Captain Slow, Clarko or Hamster try that. [Jalopnik via Gizmodo Australia]

Looking so threatening on seeing.. I would die if i go near to it.
I’d try it. It’s a single loop stunt made more impressive by being painted orange and shown to us in slo-mo…
I saw these guys earlier in the year and their antics are far more impressive (crap video but you get the gist):

i’m not saying i’d attempt either of these, but i’d imagine the car thing is more dangerous because if it goes wrong it could easily be deadly. whereas if the motorbikes crashed it would probably really really hurt (maybe a broken bone) but they would hopefully be ok. the loop-the-loop just kinda looks safer and that almost takes away from it. the motorbike riders seem to have good skills, but i’m sure there’s more to doing a loop-the=loop than just flooring it.
not really sure what my point is!
