Great, will the surface tablet be released at the same time?
It said that RT will be available when windows 8 is, so i would presume so, with a December / January launch time for pro version
The Pro (x86) Surface is supposedly coming 3mths after the ARM Surface
I wouldnt be suprised if it was out just in time for christmas though, as that is the best time to sell anything during the year.
I hope so. I’m leaning towards Pro but I don’t know if I can wait 3months

I’ve had the RTM installed for a few weeks now.
The release version of Windows 8 is a good step up from the Consumer Preview/Release Preview. I can’t put my finger on it but it’s quicker, slicker and the previously irksome mouse ‘hotspots’ in the corners are now much better balanced in terms of sensitivity.
It’s already the default OS on all my home machines and it’ll be installed on my Work Laptop as soon as I’ve finished my current project.
It’s sublime. And it’s only going to get better.
