Apple Geniuses Can Now Help You Shop For That Expensive Gadget Online

By Jon Partridge on at

If you're more of the introverted type, and you don't feel like walking into an Apple store and dealing with real staff, then you'll be pleased to hear that Apple has now released an online service in the UK that can help you pick what's right for you from the comfort of your own home.

The new feature launched this morning in the UK, Germany, Spain and Brazil -- but is strangely absent from the US site -- will let folks shoot questions relating to Apple products via an online chat service to Apple employees, whom will most likely not be stealing stock

"Now there’s a whole new way to shop for an iPad or iPhone at the Apple Online Store," says Apple. And if you're ever stuck with the intricacies of OS X, then "you can talk directly to a trained Specialist over the phone, start a live online chat and even watch your Specialist’s screen during a personalised guided tour."

The Geniuses can help you get set up with your product; assist with configuring your email and help you out syncing with iCloud, and you never have to face the harsh sunlight outside of your home. Excellent. [Pocket-Lint]
