eBay is taking the rather pleasing step of cleaning up its site a little, announcing that nonsensical listings purporting to sell magical items, prayers and the casting of spells are to be phased out from September.
The site's wording in its updated category listings says it'll soon start to prohibit users from offering any of the following: "advice; spells; curses; hexing; conjuring; magic; prayers; blessing services; magic potions; healing sessions; work from home businesses & information; wholesale lists, and drop shop lists."
Which means a lot of new-age weirdos are going to have to find themselves a new form of income, plus listings like this shameful one, in which a woman charges £4.99 to cast a spell on behalf of the buyer, will disappear for good. [eBay via BBC]
