HTC has come out with a rather ballsy denial of recent internet rumours, saying it has no intention of dropping Beats Audio features from its smartphone range.
Commenting on speculation it's about to remove Beats Audio enhancements from future smartphones to cut costs and help it compete with the rampant Samsung machine, HTC said: "HTC remains strongly committed to Beats Audio and including their innovation in our devices. Any rumour of HTC no longer integrating Beats Audio into our devices is categorically false."
Which sounds quite definitive. However, with HTC recently reducing its stake in Beats Audio from around 50 per cent to 25 percent, and giving up on the idea of bundling Beats Audio headphones inside the boxes of its mobiles, there clearly is some sort of gradual move away from the audio specialist, even if it's stopping short of fully ditching of the Beats dream.
