Another Generic Slab of a Telephone From LG

LG's latest go at making a shiny rectangular object we'll want to buy has been revealed, with the company adding a new, higher-end model to its L series of Android phones.

The Optimus L9 has a 4.7" IPS display so ought to grab a few sales from size obsessives, with a modest-by-today's-standards 1Ghz dual-core processor inside. The camera's the main compromise here, with LG sticking a 5-Megapixel sensor around the back, along with a weedy VGA-level chat cam around the front.

Still, it's pretty stylish, with the L9's case only some 9.1mm thick, plus the 2,150mAh battery ought to keep it functioning for longer than other models. If you like your phones thin and relatively generic, this might do. [LG]
