LG's Latest Rumoured Android Phone Sounds Like a Right 4G-Equipped Beast

By Sam Gibbs on at

Looks like there might be something tasty for us newly-furnished-with-4G folks on the way from LG. How does an Android, Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core-equipped 4.7-incher with 2GB of RAM, LTE and a massive 13MP shooter sound?

That's what the rumours out of Asia are saying, and we might even see it next week at IFA. It'll apparently have LG's 4.7-inch True HD IPS display; come running Ice Cream Sandwich, at launch at least, and should be lightning quick thanks to the new Snapdragon chip. Considering the dual-core S4 is really, really quick, and relatively light on the ol'electrical juice too, the Pro, quad-core variant, should be blisteringly fast.

Given LG's other phones are relatively cheap compared to the competition (like the Optimus 4X HD pictured above), it might not break the bank either. Let's just hope it comes packing support for the 1800MHz LTE band we're just about to receive 4G on courtesy of Everything Everywhere. That, and a battery that keeps it going for more than five minutes with that beastly spec list. [Asia Today via Pocket Droid via Android Central]
