Original Samsung Galaxy Note Sells 10M Units, While Kylie Wears Dress Made From 10.1-Inch Model

By Jon Partridge on at

Back in March, Samsung announced that their venerable phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note, sold a decent five million units, but now the company has gone and announced that they have now doubled that figure by selling over 10 million units worldwide. I'm pretty sure that number is only going to continue to grow, and who would have guessed phones were getting big again? Meanwhile, Kylie has been spotted wearing a bespoke dress, designed by Matthew Williamson, made up of Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets. Err.

The massive 5.3" screen was a bit of a questionable point when the phone launched, but evidently, many people have loved the massive screen and resolution real estate added to the Android experience. Samsung hopes to follow up the success of the Note with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, although we're not so sure. The company did however, manage to get Kylie to sing a few songs to celebrate the UK launch surrounded by the tablets and a whole host of other celebs. You can check out the Matthew Williamson-designed Note dress at Westfield White City from today, and it will be moving over to the Samsung Brand Store over in Stratford in the coming weeks.
