Samsung's Windows 8 Tablet/Notebook Hybrid Teased

Samsung is about to unveil a brand new piece of Windows 8 hardware at IFA this week, with one of its numerous internet marketing channels showing us something black, rectangular, tablet-like and running the newest version of Windows.

The image comes via Samsung's Notebook Facebook page, showing a device that appears to combine your usual tablet look and feel with Windows 8 and a physical QWERTY keyboard, with the latter looking like a snap-on/detachable thing similar to the one just announced by Archos or that offered with the popular Asus Transformer series.

Given how many Android tablets Samsung has thrown into the market over the last few years it's quite a surprise to see it going down the Win8 tablet route, but then again perhaps Microsoft is now seen as a newer, safer route? [Samsung Facebook via Techradar]
