Rice farmer Mohammed Salmodin struck a great blow for mankind against the reptilian world, biting a poisonous cobra to death after it dared to bite him.
Salmodin told the BBC: “When I realised that a snake had bit me, I went home to get a torch and saw that it was a cobra. So I bit it to death.
“A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you,” he added, and he was indeed right, as Mohammed was discharged from hospital after treatment for the poisonous bite, which is believed to have been administered by a common cobra.
Salmodin won’t face any charges for his amazing revenge biting as the snake in question isn’t on the endangered species list, so chomping its head off isn’t considered a crime. [BBC via io9]

“bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you”
That needs to be on a t-shirt.
[“A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you,” he added, and he was indeed right]
So apparently it’s not venom, but a curse that the snake as placed on you, and killing the snake removes the curse. Just like in old films, where killing the bad guy returns everyone to normal, right? >____>
Seems legit
When he “went home to get a torch” how did he then re-find the snake?
+1
1. Turn the torch on.
2. Shine torch in grass where Cobra was last seen.
3. Exact your bitey revenge on said Cobra.
4. Victory!
So what? I did this with a T-Rex.
I wouldn’t care if it’s an endangered species or not, if it attacks me, it’s dead.
