Rice farmer Mohammed Salmodin struck a great blow for mankind against the reptilian world, biting a poisonous cobra to death after it dared to bite him.

Salmodin told the BBC: "When I realised that a snake had bit me, I went home to get a torch and saw that it was a cobra. So I bit it to death.

"A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you," he added, and he was indeed right, as Mohammed was discharged from hospital after treatment for the poisonous bite, which is believed to have been administered by a common cobra.

Salmodin won't face any charges for his amazing revenge biting as the snake in question isn't on the endangered species list, so chomping its head off isn't considered a crime. [BBC via io9]
