We'll See Nokia's New "Arrow" and "Phi" Windows Phone 8 Lumias On September 5th

By Sam Gibbs on at

Looks like those rumoured "generic" Nokia phone designs are going to rear their Windows Phone 8-packing heads at a joint Microsoft-Nokia party event next month. Hopefully they'll be as good as the Lumia 800 and 900, even if they look a bit bland, just with a much better OS.

They'll both, apparently, be available in the US on GSM carriers, which means we should get them here too. Whether they'll be packing UK-friendly LTE, we don't know, but I suspect not at this stage. Windows Phone 8 has the potential to pick up the decent start Windows Phone 7 made and really get competitive with the likes of iOS and Android; let's just hope Nokia can pull it out of the bag, hardware-wise, come September 5th too.
