Increasingly, as we turn more to our computers and tablets to watch TV episodes, we tune out other important programming: namely, the news. And, if you're like me and get your news from your Twitter feed, a moment (or an hour, or a few) away from the internet can mean missing out on a entire breaking news story.
Today I didn't look at Twitter till the mid afternoon and was first horrified and later weirdly embarrassed to have been completely ignorant of the horrific shooting that happened at the Empire State Building.
Are we too reliant on Twitter to keep us informed? Just me?
