RIM’s been suffering from another rather large technical issue this morning, which has seen all connected services completely broken for those using their BBs on the Vodafone network.
Vodafone claims it’s RIM’s fault, saying: “We are aware that some customers are experiencing problems using BlackBerry services such as email, internet and BBM in Europe, Middle East and Africa. RIM are working on fixing this as a priority and we are in regular communication with them.”
Web, messaging, email and everything else that requires a data connection apparently stopped working at around 8.00am this morning, with RIM acknowledging the issue and saying: “We are currently experiencing a BlackBerry service issue impacting some users in Europe, Middle East & Africa. All relevant support teams are working to resolve the issue. We apologize to any customers who may be affected.” [Vodafone via Telegraph]
Update: RIM’s been in touch to say everything should be back to normal. Still, it’s not a good sign for RIM. Solid it is not anymore.
