Google Helps You Pretend Your iPhone is an Android

By Sam Gibbs on at

You wield an iPhone, but you've been longing for Android ever since slapping eyes on Ice Cream Sandwich. In fact, you'd have switched if it wasn't for that blasted app lock-in we're all suffering from these days. Fear not, Google to the rescue! Pretend your iPhone is an Android, with the help of the updated Gmail app, which can now open things directly in Chrome -- screw that blasted mobile Safari.

Google's updated the Gmail app so that it, like the Google+ app before it, can open links directly in Chrome for iOS without having to go through mobile Safari (or jailbreaking). If you only use Gmail, Google+, and Chrome, you'll barely even notice you're using an iPhone, honest. [iTunes via The Next Web]
