Warning: If you’re epileptic, you might want to pass on this video.
Everybody knows that GoPros are tough little suckers, but this one also seems to have had a little luck on its side. After falling 12,500 feet it not only survived completely unscathed, but also managed to capture its clumsy, skydiving owner’s landing.
The footage it caught on the way down might not be what you’d call watchable in the traditional sense, but it’s impressive. It’s definitely one of the better things to result from something accidentally falling from an altitude of thousands of feet. [Boing Boing]

Is this video sponsored by someone that offers video editing software? Seriously, there’s a great 20-30 second video hiding in there somewhere.
I’m wondering if it’s sponsored by GoPro.
I think a large reason in it’s survival was the angular momentum, the fact that the camera was spinning meant it suffered much lower impact forces.
I wonder if that can make it onto its feature list
How’d you figure? Surely it’s only going to add to the force felt at impact.
Think about the forces involves, dirtymagic86′s quote is actually the best way of explaining it.
