This is a trailer for Underground: The Julian Assange Story. And yes, it is serious. Australian TV station Network Ten is behind it, promising to capture and wildly exaggerate the thrills of the creation of the Wikileaks empire and the rise of little Julian to world fame.
And look, they’ve got a hunky teen actor even more attractive than the lady-magnet himself to play the role of Assange, in what the maker is describing as a “massive Australian movie event.” We can only imagine how upset the real Julian must be that he wasn’t contracted to play the role of himself.

Rachel Griffiths rocks
Surely there must be some other famous Australians they could have made a biopic about? On second thoughts…
Coming soon to a Cinema near you – The Kat Hannaford Story
Or “Sideburns of Glory – The Alfred Heflander Story”
or ‘How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Poms’…
Or even a famous Kiwi – they all want to be Australian even if they don’t like admitting it.
I wish to make it clear to any Kiwi’s in the vicinity that I do not know this person and do no endorse his comments.
Nah we are fine with Kiwis moving to Australia.. Raises the IQ of both Countries
How often is a biopic made prior to the death of or at least, the conclusion of the subject’s career? The whole thing isn’t over yet! A sort of ’24′, but based on a real life situation – to be continued…! Either way, what an ego trip to be alive and see yourself portrayed by someone so good looking.
The plot, from the trailer at least, reminds me a lot of Takedone (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159784/)…
