When it comes to phone cameras, the Lumia 920′s PureView is proving to be pretty awesome at low-light shots, but how good is that Optical Image Stabilisation? A couple of Russians with a 920, a Galaxy S III, and an RC car ran a little experiment to find out. Turns out it’s nothing to sneeze at.
While the S III’s footage turned out uncomfortably jittery, the 920′s fares much better, despite still having a bit of jank. And that’s just on top of an RC car with pretty rapid, violently jerky movements; in most real-life situations, you’d have to image the camera wouldn’t be vibrating quite that wildly. It just goes to show that, aside from previous fakery, the 920′s camera is definitely a force to be reckoned with. [Neowin via The Verge]

Yep, the Lumia 920's PureView Camera Is Awesome

Rumour: Lumia 820 and 920 Leak, PureView on the Way to Windows Phone 8
he couldnt even work the damn nokia haha
he tapped the screen by mistake and started recording a video without noticing, which is why he played the 2 second video twice before he noticed and went back to the other one.
Maybe the guy is not used to the lumia UI but it takes him like 10 secs longer to play the vid on the lumia
that’ll be it…it’s aactually really easy to go back to what you just photographed/filmed
as daniejam mentions above, there is a bit of user error which causes the playback discrepency.
I’m not gonna lie, when I first got my lumia and was playing with the camera, I completely forgot about the dedicated camera button and didnt have press screen to start option enabled. Too much time playing about with iphones and samsung galaxies is clearly to blame.
A lack of familiarity, as you say, is a strong arguement for inefficient use.
I like that the 920′s screen and camera are getting quite a bit of press though. I think the Windows Phone platform is really “swish” (yes, i’m using swish as an official technical term) interface and the more attention it gets the more chance it has of catching on.
Who would have thought that Microsoft could be innovative after all these years ^.^
