The Lumia 920 has wireless charging, which in and of itself is fun and neat and interesting and a delightful little quirky perk. But it’ll also have colour-matching Power Up speakers from JBL that charge your phone every time you gently lay it on top. Pretty cool.
How well does it work? How much does it cost? Details! Save those questions for another day; Nokia certainly has. For now it’s just nice to see that Windows Phone is building out a whole ecosystem of devices and accessories, not just sitting in its lonely little corner.

Very cool
Who needs a 9-18 pin dock connector when you can wirelessly charge and play!
I can’t see the benefit of wireless charging in this particular application though.
The phone still has to be fixed in a particular position or place to charge. Who gives a toss whether it’s plugged in or not!?
I’ll be ‘cool’ when it can stay in my pocket and charge…
Theoretically remote charging is possible by means of microwaves. So charging a phone while in your pocket may yet be possible. The problem will be more related with avoiding your balls to cook. It will require some shielding, something like a faraday cage. This will bring some discomfort issues but I am sure you’ll be willing to cope with them…
