Okay, so you saved up your pennies, queued outside the Apple Store for three days and now you’ve finally got your shiny new iPhone 5. It’s sitting there in your hand and you’re looking at it, and you’re thinking things.
You’re thinking: ‘hang on – this isn’t really all that much better than my other iPhone, the one that is now sitting at the back of the drawer. I loved that iPhone. We had some great times together. This new one is starting to feel like an impostor, some kind of chancer, trying to muscle its way into my affections with its slightly improved specs’. Fortunately, thanks to CEX, you can trade it in, get a huge wedge of cash back and pretend it never happened. A grade-A 16GB iPhone 5 can be swapped for £565 in cash, while a 32GB one will get you £645 and a 64GB is worth £750 of hard cash. Think about it – it’s just a phone.

Just make sure you don’t scratch your new shiney iPhone… because it won’t be Grade A any more.
Apparently some come pre scratched – it’s a feature.
It’s not scratched. It’s distressed for that authentic vintage look.
It means yours is unique as no two phones are scratched the same.
You could just describe it as being in factory condition then!
Presumably this is only a profit if you bought the phone on contract. Can’t imaging CEX paying more than the list price for anything. Of course you’ve still got a 2 year contract and a micro sim you can’t use in any other phone to deal with.
iPhone 5 16GB is £529 from Apple and they pay you £565 – Making a profit of £36.00. Strange
CEX will pay you less than what they think they can flog it for but potentially more than you paid (thanks to demand exceeding supply at the moment).
As for the SIM, you can just pop into a shop and ask for a different sized one for free.
Very strange, maybe they can export them and make a killing on the grey market elsewhere.
No, they’re just selling them in the UK for £595.

Good tip from source: People who already own an iPhone: sell to CEX and pre-order another from Apple for delivery in a few weeks.
ceX are selling for £655.00 – I’m not sure anyone will buy at this price surely? just wait a few week. They are making £90.00 for each iPhone they buy and sell (16GB).
Mine was £599 from CPW and collected in two days. If I could be bothered with the admin I’d sell mine for the profit and order it from Apple as CPW locked it to the first sim I inserted.
O2 Nano-Sims come with two adaptors (Mini and Micro) in case that helps anyone.
I used to be a manager of a CeX store, and this is a regular practice. When the Wii came out you could sell yours for £70 profit. Paying out £270 cash and selling them for £320 and they flew off the shelves
