Now I have nothing against retro gaming or Giz for posting this, but a word of warning before you buy these sorts of things. I have quite a few of these little gadgets and gizmos for retro gaming and the cycle is always the same:
* You spend your hard earned cash on a huge lump of plastic
* You end up playing them for about ten minutes
* After going through them all, realise how terrible and limited the games are/were
* Only about five games out of the lot worth playing more than once
* Said lump of plastic gets relegated them to the back shelf
Haha that is so very true lol
thats why i emulate it if i want a classic atari game (mainly because i can’t be bothered to buy a game for my 2600)
Ah to own a mini MAME cabinet…
Still have my original 2600, with a bunch of cartridges. And of course the legendary indestructible joysticks!
Haven’t plugged it in for decades.
I still have my original Atari ST – it’s in a suitcase in the loft.
Best game on it? Carrier Command. Am currently having an internal debate as to “not having enough time” vs “going to buy the new version of carrier command”. It’s a toughy.
Got five of them, three STEs and two STFMs. Most with 1Mb of RAM lol
i have an Oric 1 around here somewhere, no idea if it still works
Good call on the Batman bundle. Played both first time around, but haven’t had a Batman fix in almost a year
I picked up an Atari 2600 at a car boot the other week for £10! Much better than this modernised crap
Any console manufactured by Blaze is one to stay away from such as this Atari one.
Remember the GameGadget? Might as well join the Gizmondo.
