An eminent UK chocolate taster has quit his dream job after being warned by doctors that his health was seriously jeopardised by the chocolate scoffing trade. Over two years, Angus Kennedy, 47, put on two stones in weight and a rise in cholesterol levels put him at risk of a heart attack.
"In the last couple of years, I've put on some considerable weight and a recent check-up showed my arteries were far from fighting fit," admitted Kennedy.
A serious figure in the world of chocolate, Kennedy was also the editor the Kennedy's Confection trade journal, so his prudent retirement will be a genuine loss to chocolatiers -- including those at Mars and Nestle, who relied on his sweet toothed critiques of their batches. [Via Yahoo]
