If you read a bunch of websites that do not relate to your work whatsoever while you’re at work, well, here’s the one chrome extension worth downloading: Panic Button. It quickly hides all of your open tabs in Chrome and lets you open them up all later. Like, when your boss isn’t around.
You can set up PanicButton to either replace all your tabs with a blank page or a specific URL. Just activate it by pressing the PanicButton on Chrome or press F4 to hide and restore the tabs. You needed this in your life yesterday. [Chrome Web Store via

Isn’t the minimise button going to be about a centimetre or so (depending on screen size) away from this? Isn’t Alt+space+N less travel time for your hands than F4. Windows Key + D minimises everything to the desktop. But I have found people get even more suspicious when they see you minimise something!
I use Spaces on the mac. A double fingered swipe on the mouse takes you to another desktop with all the work application windows open.

I keep Mail on the desktop to the right of my browser one. Three fingered swipe takes me across and it is much less obvious than a click or a keyboard press; and nobody ever questions you checking your emails.
If the ‘Panic Button’ wants to be useful, it needs gesture support!
Lool. Reminds me of back in the days of school. The ‘clever’ IT admin bolted the desktops to the desk so if the desks were banged it would short the Motherboard. We never got caught doing anything but they always new something was up as anytime they walked into the computer room all the computers were POSTing.
Just installed this – I like it, thanks. Nice to be able to set up a custom page (or pages) to open on one key press. Not sure how much I need it, but you never know!
