So, everything’s been Gangnamed it seems, even the BBC’s F1 coverage (that was painful), but leave it to the public schoolboys of Britain to take it to the next level. It’s a little rough around the edges, sure, but that’s our dear PM David Cameron’s old alma mater right there. [YouTube]

This Has Gone Too Far: Gangnam Style is Killing People

Infinite Gangnam Style Will Melt Your Brain
When’s that fucking revolution happening? Call me.
I have family there. I can help you bring it down from the inside.
I’m not sure what help cleaners can be?
Are you kidding? Are you aware how many deadly toxic chemicals cleaners have access too and they have the keys to the place , they could wipe out the whole school. It should also be pointed out that The Doctors relatives are most definitely NOT cleaners.
Oh dear… Have I just been burnt?
There’s no place for Marxists at Eton, you have been reported!
I’m not a Marxist but even as a public schoolboy I can’t stand Etonians…
And these are the chaps that’ll run our banks and (try to) organise our country….
sigh.
Have you not seen the head of the IMF’s music video? Case closed.
Image if it was the EMF instead of the IMF..unbelievable!
God forbid they should actually have fun while at University, time enough to be serious and run the country after they leave.
And at what point in my comment do I suggest they “shouldn’t have fun”?
I’m simply pointing out that these are the chaps that’ll run our banks and (try to) organise our country…
sigh.
Oh sorry, I miss understood.
I should have said,
Yes they are.
Why is the method of fun for a lot of privileged folk to bang on about their wealth every chance they get?
Why not? Poor people bang on about their lack of it enough.
I guess I’m just jealous I can’t trash a restaurant for laughs.
I dont understand. These are kids using their free time to parody an internet meme. They wrote their own lyrics and filmed their own video both of which although not polished are highly commendable for under 18s in my eyes. They had some savvy to realise that an Eton themed parody would gain them some views but either way they dont have much choice seeing as they all board and are stuck there for a few months. Does it not also show you that they are not trashing restaurants? They are surfing the internet like most teens. I bet theres a metric fucktonne more damage done by bored teens all over the country that are not using their free time as constructively as this.
Eton isn’t a university. It’s a private boarding school for Them And Such As Them. If your dad doesn’t pull down at least £10 million a year, don’t even bother applying.
Wrong- the vast majority of students receive financial aid, a small proportion of whom go completely free of charge, and the full cost of one year at Eton is closer to £30,000.
Check your facts, my friend. Gentle un-PC self-mockery and satire should not only be tolerated, but welcome.
“….the full cost of one year at Eton is closer to £30,000…”
Err – I hate to point it out, but that’s not exactly a bargain, is it? 9 out of 10 households in the UK have an annual income – you know, to pay for *everything*, not just one person’s education – lower than a year’s fees at Eton. If you don’t have family money or a father in the City, Eton is off the table.
Fair enough if they selected on merit, but it’s quite clear that Eton’s policy is to keep the riff-raff out by making sure they can’t afford it.
Sure, you have to be well off to send your kid to Eton, but to say that the sole reason for the high fees is to ward off the riff-raff is a bit rich.
Much of that money goes towards the facilities and services of the college, which are substantial. Stuff like this:

Every fresh video from Slough Grammar brings a little bit of vomit to my mouth.
Well this is… awkward…
I think I prefer the F1 video to this one.
A single video, and a single sentence (“that’s our dear PM David Cameron’s old alma mater “), encapsulating everything that’s wrong with this country. Very efficient, really.
*Privileged upbringing style
They’ll drag this up from the internet archives in 30 years when these tits are running the country.
Alot of people seem to be very bitter that they don’t have as much money as these guys.
Your life will be much more pleasant if you accept what you have and don’t be so irrational and bitter towards people who have more.
Alternatively, if you do want lots of money, go and invent something amazing and sell it.
Rightly so, given the age old system that keeps them in that position, regardless of their abilities.
What you are referring to is a meritocracy, which good ol’ Blighty is most definitely not.
If you say so. From what I see it is though.
What is this age old system? The right to buy things for your children including an education?
I could go on all day about inequity and concentration of wealth yadda yadda. Let’s just say I’m glad I wasn’t born into poverty in the UK
Even if that’s the way you feel, my point still stands that it’s pointless feeling bitter towards people who have more money.
Well, I wouldn’t call the French, Russian and Cultural revolutions “pointless”
I didn’t.
I meant that bitterness towards other people with “more” has been a massive driver for change throughout human history….
Sweet, glad we havent lost our sense of humour
