BriefMobile got its hands on what it says is the upcoming Google Nexus 10 tablet. Supposedly manufactured by Samsung, the tablet is said to have a dual-core 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos processor, a 2560×1600 retina-grade display, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 16 gigs of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, NFC, and Android 4.2, which is still called Jelly Bean.
Android 4.2 appears to be a scaled up, tablet only version of Android, much like 3.0 (aka Honeycomb) was. The OS is also said to support quick switching between user accounts as well. Rumoured for release next week, the tablet has a bronze-like metallic back and is generally round in form. By all accounts, this is set to be Google’s iPad killer. Guess well have to wait and see. Did This Nexus 10 User Manual Leak Google's 10-Inch Tablet?

Google: Nexus 10 Is an Experiment to Rescue an Underpowered Tablet Market
God I hope not! That thing looks awful! I think I’ll stick to getting the Nexus 7 thank you very much.
My Oh My, it`s so ugly and looks old on arrival. I just hope it is a prototype cause I`ve been holding on buying a tablet cause I want a Nexus 10
It had better not be, that thing looks like it would be more suited to swatting flies than running Android.
That thing is terribly ugly
Hmmm wow my first thoughts were yuck!!! which is a shame as I was looking forward to it as my next purchase might have to go back to the Note 10.1.
however under closer inspection its design is very similar to the note 10.1. Here is my two cents. Side speakers are good and the black border round the screen initially looked too big however i think its the bottom and top black bars on the screen that artificially make it look bigger than it is, its probably no bigger than the note 10.1 and so fine, So front is ok. Don’t like the central 3 button position think that the old 4.0 tablet view is better and no SD card bay is terrible decision for Nexus. The back will be ok as long as the tablet is thin enough for those round edges and the colour is really chrome and that is the reflections making it bronze coloured. But that black grip shape is bad, designers dropped the ball on that Samsung’s previous version with the note had much sharper lines.
The fact that both this and the manual leaked earlier are consistent points to this being a final build (you wouldn’t produce a manual otherwise
).
Thinking about it if its a metal back (and not a cheap plastic one sprayed chrome like I’m guessing we all fear) maybe the horrible friction pad size is a functional decision. the transform prime had terrible GPS issues due to its all metal back blocking signals.
according to source
“The device’s back feels like brushed aluminium, says our source. There are rubber coated edges, and it’s extremely light and thin.”
it also looks very thin and I guess that rubber pad stops scratches when you put it on a table…. hmmm liking it more and more with each passing moment.
It seems to have curves just like the HP Touchpad. I concur with its ugliness.
i have high hopes for a 10 inch nexus, as this is the tablet i am waiting for
am hoping these are just bad photographs, but we shall see
Hmm, i dunno. I dont think this is legit, only saying this because they wouldnt switch vendors for just a size upgrade and ram. Just my thoughts.
So Google have ditched their tablet optimised UI and just scaled up the phone UI instead. What a waste of screen area.
I bloody hope that’s not the final 4.2 build.
There’s that pointless black bar at the bottom of the screen again!
wtf is that plaster at the top of the back?!!?
Ooh that’s not gone well has it! Why not make the back the same as the nexus 7?!
