We saw Three, then O2 push out their respective Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean updates, and now it’s Vodafone’s turn. Check for updates on your device or via Samsung Kies, if you’ve got a Vodafone-branded handset. Those on EE or unbranded will have a bit more to wait. [Vodafone]

The BBC's Media Player App Goes Jelly Bean
UK Galaxy S III Getting its Jelly Bean Update This Month
Jelly Bean Update Now Live For Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III Models
So even though the excuse that is always given for slow updates is that the manufacturer needs to ensure cross-network compatibility, they have managed to release the update on 3 different networks and leave their direct sim-free customers without…
That does seem a bit silly. Should have got a nexus.
I had a Nexus S but this time I thought I’d go for something high-end with the latest spec.
This problem that Udimion is having is quite unusual, usually the carriers c*ckblock the updates, including Nexus on contract. At least that is what happened to my N1.
Samsung’s reasoning for doing that with the GSII was because it was waiting for all the networks to test it before pushing out its own update to non-network-locked phones. That way everyone’s covered without being borked by the update.
I assumed that would be the case, but it is still annoying.
The good news is that Samsung are releasing Exynos sources, so CM10 will soon be buttery smooth…

I’m almost tempted to go back to stock at this rate….
Why are you waiting for a ‘sim free’ version when you could of flashed an unbranded ‘stock’ (with extras) 4.1.1 jelly bean rom last Week?
Omega 4.1.1 is running brilliantly on my ex orange S3.
I’m on orange contract…(EE) but my S3 has no markings and no orange splash start up thing or bloatware.
Did i get a unbranded s3 through orange or is it still orange somewhere in it?
Any way to tell other then use another sim card in it?
I didn’t notice any branding at all, and there is no Orange bloatware or themes. It was even unlocked so for all intents and purposes It’s Simish free.
Installing Omega v29 JB4.1.1 was smooth and much slicker than my previous 4.0.4.
